St Austin's is a Roman Catholic Primary school. The Chair of governors is Mr Mike Burke. Education is provided for pupils from the ages of 4 to 11 and there is a Nursery for pre school pupils from the age of 3.

The school has a strong Catholic ethos and there are strong links with the local parish, as well as with the Archdiocese and the wider community.

Our school's ethos and values can be seen through our Mission Statement:-

Our Mission Statement

St Austin's is like a star where the light inside each one of us shines brightly.
As a team, we support, value and respect each other.
As a family, we use our talents to be the best that we can be,
following the path of Jesus as we;

Grow in Faith Together

When Ofsted inspected our school in July 2018 they reported that;-

'Leaders have created a caring and nurturing environment, founded in the Roman Catholic ethos of the school, where pupils feel safe and enjoy their learning.'  --Ofsted 2018
