In year 6 we study a number of writers. We Study:

• Kensuke's Kingdom;
• Cogheart;
• The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe;
• Room 13;
• The Island;
• Anne Frank's Diary;
• Short stories.

We also look at a number of other text types such as persuasive writing through looking at the effects of smoking and balanced arguments through our studies on slavery/human rights.  

In the Autumn term we will be reading 

• Kensuke's Kingdom;
• Cogheart;
• The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

In the Spring term we will be covering:

• Anne Frank's Diary;
• Room 13;
• The Island;
• Various texts linked to slavery and our science topic. 

In the Summer term we will be covering various short stories such as The Giant's Necklace by Michael Morpurgo.
