Week Commencing 19th October 2020

This is our last week before half term.  I am looking forward to carving some pumpkins and making some treacle toffee!

This week is assessment week in school, but we will be completing some work in class in between:

Maths No Problem

Complete lesson 5 and 6 from Chapter 2.  Then aim to complete at least 3 of the Maths 'catch-up' exercises.

English

This week we will be writing our own description of a dragon based on our work from How To Train Your Dragon.  Please see the two examples below for inspiration and then have a go at writing your own.  Your dragon can live in any environment you like and eat and drink anything too!

Aim to complete three of the English 'catch-up' exercises.

RE

This week we will be starting a new topic about being 'called'.  We will be discussing how it feels to be chosen.  Think about a time that you have been chosen to do something, for example, read in assembly, be a member of the school council, a page boy at a wedding.  How did you feel?

Science

This week we will be completing our topic on different animals and their habitats.  Create a poster to show the differernt classifications of vertebrates: mammals, amphibians, fish, reptiles and birds.

Art

To celebrate the autumn half term, we will be completing detailed pictures of autumn leaves.  If you can find some leaves in your garden or local park, either sketch one in detail or complete some rubbings.
